Don't let Dutchman Stan Christ's appearance deceive you: he may have kind eyes and sweet blond hair, but he is a DJ who knows how to offer up a full spectrum of hard techno sounds. The power of his drums is undeniable as he looks to shock, subvert and surprise his dancers with a range of BPMs, though softer moments and heartfelt synths truly stand his sound apart. From oldskool 90s to contemporary hardcore, raw style, trance and everything in between, he is now an established headliner and a chart-topping producer.

 

No matter how large his audience, Stan Christ likes to be up close and personal, connected with his dancers and surrounded by the crowd so they can exchange energy all night long. That directness always adds a personal element to his sets and they have taken him to gigs like a fully sold-out Ziggo Dome on New Year’s Eve - at which he played the epic midnight set - to a packed bullfighting arena in Spain via countless gigs at Europe's most notable hard techno parties.  

 

All this has come in double quick time: Stan Christ's second release came in COVID times and made such an impact that it got international attention. The 150 BPM, industrial-leaning and earth-shattering 'Trepidation' proved a gateway for many young ravers who fell in love with its distinctive hard techno edge. Since then he has dropped more weapons that capture whatever he is feeling at the time and come with no limitations in style. "As long as it’s electronic and I love the way it sounds, I will continue," he says having also remixed on the legendary Spinnin Records and his own established imprint Revised Records, which he co-runs with Zeltak, as the number one hard techno label on Beatport.

 

As Stan Christ continues to innovate as both a DJ and producer, Revised Records will grow into a worldwide events brand with unique merchandise and many more game-changing releases. Despite what he has already achieved, then, Stan Christ has plenty more to add to the hard techno conversation.
