ORNELLA
BIO
Ornella is a Lisbon-based DJ and producer working at the uncompromising edge of contemporary techno. Her sets move fast and hit hard, grounded in schranz and driven by sustained physicality. Her artistic approach displays her innate capability to make fast paced and bold decisions every time she plays. Her aim is simple: to create moments that feel real, charged, and impossible to disengage from once they take hold of the dancefloor.
Her journey began in 2019, at a moment when she was unsure where to place herself, creatively or personally. From then on, she has looked to understand that feeling, to regain control over it, and ultimately, share it through both her production and music selection. She paid close attention to how energy and structure function within techno. As her identity sharpened, her focus shifted toward harder, more confrontational territory, influenced by figures like Kobosil and Klangkuenstler. What matters to her is not speed alone, but what continuous pressure can unlock emotionally charged moments.
Energy, tension, and introspection coexist in her sets. Ornella´s sound is built around direct, fast, heavy and honest creativity. Her intensity places sustained energy at the centre of the experience. When making music, her ideas usually begin on the dancefloor. Noticing reactions while playing, or moments shared while listening to other djs. In the studio, those impressions are translated instinctively. Her tracks allowed her to grow through repetition and feel, rather than being forced into rigid structures too early. Although still an up and comer, her releases have steadily marked her presence within the hard techno circuit.
Live, Ornella is an expressive and adaptable performer. She has played at numerous major festivals and club shows around the world and will start a series of B2B performances with Kobosil and many other key figures in today's scene.
Ornella is smart in her decisions and definitive in her direction, committing fully once she steps into a space. Her sets are energetic and physical without tipping into excess, shaped by control rather than restraint. She allows emotion, tension and moments of introspection to surface openly, without softening the impact. The sound remains defiant and forward-moving, holding its ground while staying deeply human.
